Donal Dineen's final small hours show on Today fm took place at the start of this month. The confusion and mixture of emotion in the studio was akin to the attraction and repulsion one experiences when handling magnets. I performed on the very last aired show beside Mike Scot, Sean Mac Erlaine and Si Schroeder. 'The Wake' the following evening in the Joinery was also a pleasure to perform at. I've never seen the venue so packed. Here, the final Small Hours show

Yes, I have been hibernating, writing, recording.....Playing some New York shows in October with Shane and Sean, scouting for film sites with Adrien Merigeau for a new music video from the forth coming album.....
Supporting The Ambience Affair for a few Irish shows and The Halves boys have enveloped me with their charm once again for more messing, I mean music.

I'm delighted to announce that The Irish Arts Council have awarded me this years Music Bursary! This will help me continue to do what I do.....sigh....

So far March has been so productive and so much fun. In between recording I've been touring with Halves. This provided dangerously good times for me (arrrrghh!'we're doing it!' 'It's happening!'some embarrassing footage to follow no doubt) and a chance to play with them in Vicar Street as they were nominated for this years Choice Music Award.
On The Record played host to me and the ripe Intent (Shane Holly & Sean Maynard) in The Twisted Pepper which also featured as gig of the week in The Irish Times' Ticket.....some new clips in the video section....and it's probably for the best if you check this out. It will keep you sane as it has been doing for me.

Thanks to the Digital Socket Awards for shortlisting me as Best Newcomer while recording begins

After taking a little time to replenish from what I had thought was going to be a quiet, broke and introspective time in Berlin for the holidays(!?%*?) it's time to rev up again for some album recording with Steve Shannon!
